The larger size is suitable for 10" bread knives, 10" chef knives, and 10.5" chef knives.

To use the guards, simply slide the knife blade into the cover, aiming at the top right point of the guard first, and then slide the blade in. Please do not use the guards for knives with a blade thickness greater than 4.0mm (0.16") or a blade length longer than the guards, as the longer blade will extend out from the open end, defeating the purpose of the protection.
